University Pediatric Dentistry is led by Dr. Funny, a board-certified pediatric dentist with more than 15 years of experience as a practice owner. According to the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, board certification reflects demonstrated specialized knowledge, skill, and a voluntary commitment to lifelong learning, a standard Dr. Funny has maintained throughout her career.
As a mother herself, Dr. Funny brings a perspective to this work that goes beyond clinical training. She understands the experience from both sides of the exam room, and that has shaped how she and our team communicate with children and with parents. Many families are also glad to find that Dr. Funny is a female dentist, which is something they tell us matters when choosing care for their children.
We believe every child deserves access to quality dental care, regardless of their insurance situation. We are in-network with Delta Dental PPO and accept all other PPO plans on an out-of-network basis. For families who need additional flexibility, we accept CareCredit financing, HSA and FSA payments, and offer access to our in-house membership plan through Dental HQ.
